A French brass oval carriage timepiece, with alarm, the movement with silvered platform lever escapement and alarm sounding on a bell mounted within the base of the case, the rectangular white enamel roman dial signed 'Grasser, Marseille, Just' to centre, with a subsidiary alarm setting dial below, the bevelled glazed case with hinged carrying handle, on turned feet, 4 1/2in. (excluding handle) high.
